The core design philosophy of the Irrigation Systems Sprinkler is long service life and ease of maintenance. All the main components have replaceable bushes. The material of each component is selected for the function required. We have not compromised by using a 'one material fits all' attitude. Examples of the high quality of materials selected can be seen in the Base Nut Assembly, the main bearing that supports the rotating sprinkler head. (See Diagram 2). It's components include: The Base Nut and it's thread, manufactured from a glass reinforced rigid material of great strength. The replaceable Bearing Sleeve, of a graphite filled nylon, the best abrasion resistance material available. The Base Nut Sealing washer is of a durable, flexible material. The Spindle which is made of two specially formulated types of nylon, has tremendous impact resistance eliminating a common cause of spindle breakage. Graphite is incorporated to provide abrasion resistance for long service life in sand environments. |
Unique to the Irrigation Systems Sprinkler, the internal drive splines have been designed to allow the precise tightening of the spindle to the sprinkler body, from inside the sprinkler spindle. The spindle is tightened without twisting or damaging any part of the sprinkler. |
This is just one example of the deliberation that has been undertaken to bring you the highest quality sprinkler. It is brought to you by experts who know the exact requirements of the end user and who have vast experience of irrigation in the field. The simplicity of this design and its effectiveness is a breakthrough in sprinkler servicing. Use it once and see for yourself. |
The
base assembly can be separated using the splined key,
which is supplied with your initial order of sprinklers and is available
when ordering replacement bearing sleeves, washes etc.
Use a 13mm ring spanner on the Spindle Key. |
