A six vane nozzle flow straightner incorporating
a one-piece design of vanes then, a tapered transition phase then, an
anti-turbulent section and finally, the length of metering size which
is equal to 1 x the diameter. i.e. the 'length of the land' is 1d, greatly
limiting the wear.
The advantages of this 'land length' have proven successful when the water
has a high concentration of sand. The
efficiency and water discharge rates are effected by the most minute wear
on the outlet size of the nozzle. Minimal
wear has been detected with this design and the materials selected. We
cannot stress too strongly the advantages of an accurately designed and
manufactured nozzle.
The nozzle metering diameter is moulded to within two thousandths of an
inch and very often we find after years of service in heavy sand laden
water, there is no discernible wear. |

The
Irrigation Systems Ltd Sprinkler can
provide irrigation throughout the life of the crop, performing the function
of larger and smaller sprinklers.
Irrigation Systems Ltd Sprinkler - the single
solution to crop development.
Simply change the nozzle insert in your sprinkler according to your precipitation
rate requirement. Example: A seed bed will require less water until plants
become established, use a smaller nozzle at a higher pressure to create
a fine spray. Increase the nozzle size as the plants develop.
Examples
of Water Distribution Rates:
|
Nozzle
Size: 3.5mm
Operating Pressure: 3.0 Bar
Water Distribution Rate: 779 Litres/Hour |
Rotation
Speed
0.95 R.P.M. |
Nozzle
Size: 4.0mm
Operating Pressure 3.0 Bar
Water Distribution Rate: 1100 Litres/Hour |
Rotation
Speed
1.05 R.P.M. |
No more over-watering wastage.
Optimise the quantity of water used. Reduce excess water pumping.
No under-watering restrictions on crop development. |

Sprinkler
Nozzle Sizes |
Smaller,
finer nozzle sizes are available for seed bed use. |
The arrangement of the moulded
smooth flow water chamber has allowed
for a compact design of the entire sprinkler. It is
rugged, less clumsy and not so prone to damage when moving through field
crops and in general farm handling.
|
Insert the nozzle sleeve into the jet body by hand.
The sprinkler has been developed to allow ease of use and maintenance
in the field. Using this method will ensure the sprinkler is not damaged
through excess force.
|
The colour coded insert of the required size (see above) should be pushed
into the jet body, by hand. Tighten the body into the sprinkler using
a 13mm socket until 'hand tight'. There is a moulded seat on the jet body
which seals it onto the sprinkler with the minimum effort and does not
depend on the sealing action of the threads for water tightness. Do not
over tighten the threads. All the nozzle sizes fit tightly into the sprinkler
body with a hard push.
